Cenote 7 Bocas (7 mouths waterhole), Quintana Roo. Mexico

We wanted to find an excursion that was off the beaten path, we found it in Cenotes 7 Bocas the place is breathtaking, other cenotes were not as impressive, now saying that this  is not one of those pamper you parks, but it is where to find a peaceful refuge where you can enjoy the natural beauty of the Mexican wilderness

Cenote 7 bocas is 15 minutes south passing Puerto Morelos and to the right on the Ruta de los Cenotes, and  after you pass km marker 15 on the right hand you will find their entry. There is a 3 min rustic road to follow into the jungle to find it.

The cenote deepest is 150 meters and is crystal clear, it is easy to admire magnificent stalactites and stalagmites.  In boca 1 which connects to boca 2 through a series of underwater passages where you can use a rope to pull yourself along.

The boca 3 connects to boca 4, there is plenty of daylight to guide the way.  Boca 4 is pretty great, you can jump from above I would say it is approximately a 2 second jump and it is deep enough, so you don't have to worry about hitting the bottom. Note; I missed the jump because my friends had a previous appointment. This is an excursion where you could easily spend 5 hrs lunch included.

I enjoy tons Cenote 7 bocas, this is the place for the people looking for a laid back, a place of safety and untainted view of the Mexican jungle

Facilities

Rustic bathrooms
Tables in case you want to have lunch there.
There are life jackets available and goggles to rent.
Kayaks

My personal recommendations

Although, it is allowed to wear sunscreen in the cenotes, please just be mindful of that and use an ecofriendly one or none at all, I never use sunscreen as the cenotes are naturally shaded.
Eco-friendly Mosquito repellent is a must here !

As an eager Biologist, I deeply advice you to bring your own mask/snorkel/fins, underwater flashlight and a camera.
